- Now plug in all the ingoing and outgoing hoses to the pressure washer.
- After that, you need to plug-in the wire for the spark plug.
- Run the pressure washer for a few minutes and check if it’s working correctly.
Although the process is very easy and straightforward, there are a few things you should always look for while carrying out the task. If you don’t take care of these things, you will end up damaging the components.
- If you are replacing the pump, always make sure the new pump is compatible with your pressure washer engine.
- Make sure the new pump’s bolt pattern fits your pressure washer engine.

- If there is water or fluid in the hose while you are dismantling them, use a chemical injection tube to get rid of the water of any liquid.
- You can only replace the pump, if the new pump has the same GPM (flow rate), PSI (water pressure), pump style, mounting direction and shaft size. If there is any difference between the two, you should not replace it.
